The Continental Societies, Inc. is a public service organization dedicated to the socio-economic and cultural welfare of underprivileged children and youth.
The organization was organized in 1956 and incorporated nationally in 1972. It embraces 42 chapters in various states, the District of Columbia and Bermuda.
Through outreach programs such as educational, cultural and recreational projects and volunteerism, Continental women everywhere strive to adhere to the humanitarian precept of sharing with those in need, especially children.
Some of the many programs in chapters across the nation include shoe funds, sweater projects, camp experiences for inner city youth.
The Continentals donate funds to provide a broad range of educational and cultural enrichment through scholarships and recreational field trips.
Continentals consistently volunteer their time to develop programs, assist schools, youth centers, pediatric wards, homes for delinquent youth an provide many other related activities to children.
